Training at the Institute for Machine Design and Tribology (IMKT)

Production mechanics are trained at the Institute for Machine Design and Tribology (IMKT). The training lasts three years and takes place as dual training. The responsible vocational school is the BBS/me (Hanover).

During the training, the trainees learn to manufacture components from various materials on drilling machines, saws, conventional lathes and milling machines and on CNC lathes and milling machines and to assemble them into modules.

Furthermore, the trainees are strongly involved in the daily work at the institute and manufacture components and assemblies for the test benches.

During their training, the apprentices attend various in-company and external courses.

These include attendance at the welding training institute (SLV Hannover-Linden) and CNC courses at the university.

The aim of the training is to acquire the title of skilled worker at the Hanover Chamber of Industry and Commerce.
